Cébaco Benefits from Railway Boost
The Panama–David Railway project represents a key transformation for connectivity in the western region of the country. With an approximate length of 150 kilometers, this new railway line will connect Panama City with David, the capital of the Chiriquí province, passing through important cities such as La Chorrera, Aguadulce, Penonomé, and Santiago. Among the main stations are Panama, La Chorrera, Aguadulce, Penonomé, Santiago, and David, establishing an efficient logistical corridor for both passengers and cargo.
This railway will significantly reduce travel times and improve access to the western region, which will have a direct impact on the economic and tourism development of the area. For Isla Cébaco, located off the coast of Veraguas and relatively close to Santiago, this new infrastructure represents a great opportunity.
The Best Place to Catch Tuna
In the waters surrounding Isla Cébaco, in the Gulf of Montijo, Panama, lies one of the most sought-after destinations for sport fishing enthusiasts. Just minutes from the so-called Tuna Coast, this area is ideal for catching tuna, wahoo, and mahi-mahi.
The seabed drops sharply just a few meters from the shore, creating nutrient-rich currents and abundant baitfish that attract these species year-round. Owning land with over 300 meters of beachfront here means being only minutes away from one of the best fishing spots on the planet.
Panama’s Energy Future: New Interoceanic Gas Pipeline
The Panama Canal is moving into a new stage with the development of a modern interoceanic gas pipeline, a strategic project that will connect the Atlantic and Pacific coasts through a network of more than 70 kilometers of pipelines. This initiative will enable the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas such as propane, butane, and ethane in a more efficient and secure way, reducing dependence on maritime transit and positioning the country as a global energy hub. With an estimated investment between 4 and 8 billion dollars, construction is expected to begin in 2027 following an international bidding process.
